MetaTrader 5 synchronization

Send MT5 trades to your journal automatically

Connect the AxT MT5 Sync desktop app through your browser and keep your MetaTrader 5 trade history available for journaling and analysis.

How browser-based connection works

AxT MT5 Sync uses the same AxT Journal account as the web platform. The desktop app opens a secure browser authorization flow. If you are already signed in, you approve the connection; otherwise, you complete the normal sign-in first.

This approach avoids a separate password form inside the desktop application and keeps authentication consistent with email and Google sign-in.

  • Start authorization from the desktop app
  • Sign in or use the existing browser session
  • Approve the one-time connection
  • Return automatically to the desktop app

What the MT5 integration synchronizes

The integration sends the trade fields needed by the journal, including ticket, symbol, direction, volume, prices, stop loss, take profit, profit, commission, swap and timestamps. Updates from the terminal can refresh existing trades without creating duplicates.

Only accounts registered as MetaTrader 5 are shown in the synchronization application. Accounts from TradingView, cTrader or other platforms remain available for manual journaling in the web platform.

  • Open and historical trades
  • Profit, commission and swap
  • Entry, exit and protection prices
  • Stable ticket-based updates

Turn synchronized data into a review

Synchronization removes repetitive data entry, but the most valuable information still comes from the trader. Add the setup, risk tier, tags, journal and screenshots that explain the decision.

Use account and date filters to compare periods, inspect the calendar and review performance breakdowns. Always verify journal data against your broker statement before using it for accounting or regulatory purposes.
